Our Philosophy
The Stan Deen Foundation was created with the idea that communities can use their collective resources and talents to empower individuals to achieve their fullest potential. By uplifting others, we create a culture that inspires growth, collaboration, and shared success for everyone involved. Stan Deen believed that everyone had something to contribute to their community. He challenged people to step out of their shell and use talents some never knew they had, taught people how to treat others with dignity, and saw the students who tried to remain unnoticed.
Our culture is in a trying time that requires kindness and intentionality in all of our daily interactions with others. With so much divisiveness and hurt existing in the world, it is time to inspire hope and show people that our culture can be more. We can love those we disagree with. Encourage others to use their talents without fear of it eclipsing our own. We can be wiling to sacrifice something of our own to help someone else in need. In essence, each of us can be a Stan Deen in our community. Our team challenges you to give a chocolate bar to someone just to show you care, talk to a stranger and ask them how they are really doing, or tip your waitstaff a little extra when you see they are having a rough day.
What Can I Do?
Our foundation is in its first year since inception. We rely on donations from individuals like you to bring our programs to life. While our initial offerings will be focused on scholarships, grants, and a mentorship program, we recognize that there are other untapped outlets that can serve communities. We plan to evolve our organization as resources and the need present themselves. If our mission resonates with you, consider DONATING to help make an impact for underserved students. Interested in getting involved in a mentorship program? Sign up for our mailing list below to stay up to date on opportunities. If you have questions, feel free to CONTACT US. Lastly, remind someone today that whatever they are going through, THIS TOO SHALL PASS.
